South Eastern Ontario has lots and lots of water - including the renowned Lake Of The Woods at Kenora. Very pretty area with lots of lakes. Very impressed by Kenora itself - very attractive city.

Thanks Neil, for acknowledging that Kenora is located in SOUTHERN Canada, along with Winnipeg, Regina, Calgary and all the other great places located along the Trans-Canada corridor. We are erroneously referred to as "Northern" by folks in the deep south of Ontario who seem to confuse the self importance of Toronto with actual geography. Contrary to your description, however, Kenora is decidedly not in Eastern Ontario, being situated closer to Edmonton than we are to Toronto.
